The Model 105 was the first machine bearing the BERNINA name that was sold as a household sewing machine. We were able to acquire this machine with the help of a good friend at BERNINA. The Model 105 was produced from 1932 to 1953; this particular machine was made in 1943

Model 530

The Model 530 was the first BERNINA with patented attachable presser feet and with semi-automated buttonhole sewing. The Model 530 was produced from 1954 to 1963; this particular machine was made in 1956. This machine was sold in Johannesburg to a woman from the US who was living there at the time. She then brought the machine back to the US with her and it was converted from 220 volts to 110 volts for use in the US

Model 930

The Model 930 was the first BERNINA with a stretch stitch function. A Model 930 is the first BERNINA Sandi purchased long before she thought of becoming a BERNINA dealer. The Model 930 was produced from 1983 to 1986; this particular machine was made in 1986

Model 1130

The Model 1130 was the first computerized electronic BERNINA with push button stitch selection, a fully automated one-step memory buttonhole, and embroidery pattern memory. The Model 1130 was produced from 1986 to 1992 ; this particular machine was made in 1986

Model 1130S

The 1130 Special Edition Model was made especially for the US market during 1990. It had blue trim and included the same automatic buttonhole foot as the top of the line model 1230.

Model 1630

The Model 1630 was the first BERNINA with a screen to display stitch choices and a track ball to make stitch selections. It also featured a 9 mm stitch width, over 400 embroidery patterns, monograms, 5 alphabets, and directional sewing in 16 possible directions (forward and reverse as well as side to side). The Model 1630 was made from 1993 to 1997; this particular machine was made in 1996

Model 180 with Embroidery Module

The Model 180 was the first BERNINA that combined sewing and embroidery capability in one machine using the embroidery module. It featured a touch screen for stitch selection. The Model 180 was produced from 1997 to 2002; this particular machine was made in 1999
